This project aimed to create a kinetic type animation using a song of our choosing. To create a visually appealing piece giving energy to type that reinforces the words in the song. The project served as an opportunity to learn new ways to express words through animation and bring energy into the song. Using what I learned in my motion graphics class, I could find a method to explore clever ways to emphasize the lyrics.

The project started with storyboarding each line of the song. The lyrics were broken down and then brainstormed visuals for each sentence. I planned a colour palette and set up the scenes to make the design process go smoothly. I animated different elements, showcasing different paces, movements, and illustrations. I worked on finding other ways to express the song's energy through metaphors and emotion.

This project helped give me a better understanding of balancing illustration and typography. I experimented with movement and positioning to energize the animation. This motion graphics piece pushed me to find my creative limits with the amount of time I had to complete this assignment. I would like to revisit this project and complete the whole song to evolve it into a finished animation.
