This project involved creating a sustainable and user-friendly packaging design for the iconic Jos Louis snack cakes. The primary focus of this project was to reduce waste and incorporate environmentally friendly materials while maintaining the brand's vibrant and recognizable identity. The goal was to redesign the Jos Louis packaging with a focus on sustainability, customer convenience, and aesthetic appeal.
While working on this project, I considered practical usability, including the structure for ease of carrying and disposing of the packaging. It was important to maintain the brand's signature colour palette and playful typography to create an engaging and recognizable look. At the end, I was able to design a sturdy, compact box with a handle for portability, incorporating a window to showcase the product inside.
The redesigned packaging was innovative approach to sustainability and its alignment with consumer demand for eco-friendly products. It successfully reduced material waste and provided an aesthetically pleasing, practical solution that resonates with Jos Louis' audience. This project highlighted the importance of combining environmental consciousness with design aesthetics. It was a valuable exercise in understanding sustainable materials and their application in real-world packaging design.
